MP: Vandalized the mosque, beaten up the worshipers, tortured by police

A separate incident of anti-Muslim violence came from Khandwa state of Madhya Pradesh, where local Muslims were attacked and pelted with stones while offering prayers at a mosque following a dispute between two groups of youths. A video of this incident which took place in Khandwa’s Timi Khurd is going viral on social media.
According to a report by Sabrang India, in the video, a man is seen lying on a hospital bed with multiple injuries all over his body. Some people narrated the incident. According to him, some derogatory messages were exchanged between the youths which resulted in the mob pelting stones on the Muslims while they were offering prayers inside the mosque. Some members were injured and taken to hospital.

That is more surprising and alarming is that the local Muslims claim that when the police arrived, they lathi-charged them. According to the local people in the video, Muslims called the police to save themselves, but the police started lathi charge on them without listening to their complaint. Locals claimed they broke down their doors, dragged young Muslims from their homes and beat them up. Thus, apart from the mob pelting stones at Muslims offering prayers inside the mosque, they were also tortured by the police.
