A descendant of Tipu Sultan warned political parties of legal action to put an end to the constant dragging of Tipu Sultan’s name in political slugfests. The Congress and BJP have been using the name of the late monarch to take a swipe at each other ahead of Karnataka polls.
Sahabzada Mansoor Ali, who is the 7th generation descendant of Tipu Sultan, said that they have decided to file a defamation case and file an injunction to not use Tipu Sultan’s name for political gains, be it the BJP or the Congress, because it is only hurting the sentiments of Tippu Sultan’s family, and his followers.
